random findings

I can not describe the joy I felt, when some week ago Bernd Schiffer sent me a link to the first version of the session cast of my first ever Pecha Kucha.

He published it yesterday via the XP-Days Blog on youtube, Vimeo and Viddler. You can watch it here:

My Pecha Kucha was part of a session with 3 Pecha Kucha’s, the first being “Stop the line in der Softwareentwicklung” by Stefan Roock, the second being “Mein agiler Reisekoffer” by Holger Koschek. (My secret hope is that they also will be published.)

Actually, why I am so happy with that Sessioncast is because when I wrote about my Pecha Kucha I had the idea that I would have to recreate it. First of all because there was no video (and I didn’t know at all that there was a voice recording of it). Second because I would have liked to have a really good version of it.

Now, hearing the recording and the synchronization by Bernd, I know how bad I was (internal view) but how good it worked then anyway and the concept held up to its promise (with some distance ;-). Maybe, if you haven’t been there, you can only guess so from the applause in the end ;-)

Well - now that his version is out there I will not do a rerecording of it under “studio” conditions. That would only be a) work and b) boring and c) thus it might even be worse …

Anyway - a big big special Thank You! again to Bernd for all the work, effort and commitment he put into the Sessioncast. (Any you know - he organized the session together with Martion Heider. He didn’t have to do this. Not at all!!!)
